One of the latest gadgets to have been released by Toshiba is the Toshiba Folio 100 / AS 100 portable tablet. This is Toshiba’s entry to the market that it set to rival the success of other popular tablets, such as the iPad from Apple. With the Toshiba Folio 100 / AS 100 portable tablet, you have access to the Android operating system and all the useful features that come with it, which includes the ability to view flash content. The iPad and any other tablet that does not feature the Android operating system lacks the capability to run flash content.
If you find that the on board storage is not enough for you, then you can upgrade the storage with the simple use of a microSD card. This will allow you to add up to 32GB more storage to the Toshiba Folio 100 / AS 100 portable tablet. The Toshiba Folio 100 / AS 100 portable tablet doesn’t offer you different models with different pre installed storage capacities. It simply has 16GB inbuilt storage.
This tablet doesn’t feature a rear camera. It assumes that you wont be using this for your photography projects, and instead provides you with a low quality 1.3 mega pixel camera. Using WiFi and a VOIP app, this camera even allows you to make video calls.
With a 10.1 inch capacitive touch screen, you will be able to browse web sites with ease or sit back and watch a movie. The battery life is more than capable of allowing you to do either. With a 1080p high definition display and the ability to watch flash files on the tablet, you can enjoy many hours of entertainment with this tablet. Be aware however that as yet, DIVX files are not supported with the Android operating system, so you may have to convert these before viewing.
